This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised professional services organisation investing heavily in its data, cloud and AI capabilities. You’ll take ownership of a business-critical enterprise data platform, working at the intersection of Data Engineering, Platform Engineering and Cloud Technology while helping shape the future of the firm’s data strategy.

THE ROLE*Own and oversee a modern enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Azure technologies
*Act as the technical lead for platform architecture, scalability, governance and operational excellence
*Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Architecture and Engineering teams to support business-critical services
*Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise platform performance, reliability and cost efficiency
*Drive best practice across CI/CD, automation, monitoring and Infrastructure-as-Code
*Support production environments, incident management and continuous improvement initiatives
*Help enable Data Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently by removing technical barriers
*Influence platform strategy and evaluate new technologies across Data and AI initiatives
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE*Experience within Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a related technical field
*Strong Azure experience within enterprise environments
*Experience supporting and operating cloud-based data platforms
*Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks
*Strong understanding of data platform architecture, scalability and governance
*Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code
*Experience with Terraform, Python and platform automation tools is advantageous
*Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management and communication skills
*Experience working within regulated environments would be beneficial
SALARY AND BENEFITS*£73,000 - £84,000 base salary
