Senior Security Architect - Manager
Up to £95,000 + bonus | Hybrid | UK
A leading technology consultancy is expanding its Cyber & Security practice and is looking for an experienced Security Architect to support major programmes across Government, Defence and the Public Sector.
This is a senior client-facing role focused on designing secure technical solutions, developing security architecture and advising stakeholders across complex technology environments.
The Role
You will: *Design and develop security architectures, technical security solutions and architecture patterns.
*Lead technical security engagements and work with specialists across Identity, Security Testing, Privacy and Cyber.
*Translate business and security requirements into practical technical designs.
*Communicate and justify security decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*Develop security principles, controls and approaches aligned to client requirements, industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
*Conduct security assessments, threat and risk assessments, vulnerability assessments and security audits.
*Advise clients on security controls, emerging technologies and appropriate technical solutions.
*Work with technology vendors and third parties to assess and secure external systems and data exchanges.
*Contribute to the development of secure cloud, DevSecOps and automated deployment approaches.
What We’re Looking For
Essential: *Proven experience working as a Security Architect or in a closely related security architecture role.
*Experience within a technology consultancy, systems integrator or professional services environment.
*Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS.
*Experience with threat modelling and risk assessment.
*Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, authentication and access control.
*Experience across security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS and vulnerability assessment tools.
*Understanding of cloud security across AWS, Azure or GCP.
*Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD and automated deployment.
*Experience engaging with senior technical and business stakeholders.
*Architecture methodology experience such as TOGAF or SABSA.
*Strong communication and technical leadership skills.
Desirable: *Experience delivering security architecture within Government, Defence or wider Public Sector environments.
*Knowledge of Government security requirements, including Secure by Design and JSP 440.
*Experience working with systems and data subject to Government Security Classification requirements.
*CISSP or another recognised information security qualification.
*Experience researching and assessing emerging technologies and associated security considerations.
Security Clearance
Candidates must already hold or be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance at SC or DV level.
