The Role
As a Quantitative Trader, you will work within the firm’s automated trading framework to research, develop, and implement systematic trading strategies.
Key responsibilities include: *Researching and implementing systematic trading strategies using the firm’s automated trading infrastructure.
*Applying advanced statistical techniques to analyse large datasets and identify potential trading opportunities.
*Developing a strong understanding of market microstructure, exchange mechanics, and the characteristics of different asset classes.
*Conducting pre-market checks to ensure that all required data, systems, and processes are functioning correctly.
*Monitoring the behaviour and performance of trading strategies throughout the trading day.
*Working closely with colleagues across quantitative research, trading, and technology teams globally.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have a strong quantitative background, ideally with a Master’s or PhD in a relevant discipline such as: *Mathematics
*Statistics
*Econometrics
*Financial Engineering
*Operations Research
*Computer Science
*Physics
You should also have: *Strong programming skills in at least one major programming or scripting language, preferably Python, C++, or R.
*A strong interest in quantitative trading and systematic strategies.
*The ability to analyse data using statistical and quantitative techniques.
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with colleagues across different regions.
*The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
*Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
