With a strong commitment to delivering high-quality HR service and creating a positive working environment, the organisation is seeking an experienced ER/HR Advisor to join its dedicated People team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative workplace where HR plays a vital role in driving employee engagement, maintaining compliance, and supporting managers to achieve the best outcomes for their teams.Your New RoleAs HR Advisor, you will provide practical and professional advice across the full employee lifecycle with a strong focus on ER - supporting managers and employees on a broad range of ER and HR matters. This is a permanent post.Key responsibilities will include:
*Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
*Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and capability cases.
*Maintaining accurate workforce records and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
*Supporting right to work and immigration compliance processes where required.
*Managing and maintaining employee information within the HR Information System (HRIS).
*Producing workforce reports and management information to support business decision-making.
*Monitoring workforce trends, compliance requirements and employee data.
*Supporting HR projects and initiatives.
*Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with employment law and best practice.
*Building effective relationships with managers and providing practical solutions to people-related challenges.
This is an office-based role in Cheltenham that requires some travel to operational sites, providing hands-on HR support directly to managers and employees.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
*CIPD Level 5 qualification ideally, be working towards CIPD Level 5, or have equivalent HR experience.
*Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisory role.
*Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
*Practical experience managing employee relations cases.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*High levels of attention to detail and professionalism.
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
*A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable experience includes:
*Experience working within a regulated environment.
*Knowledge of sponsorship, immigration compliance and right to work requirements.
*Experience producing and analysing HR data and workforce reporting.
