Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work within a fantastic specialist school supporting children aged 4-11 years with a range of learning, communication and physical needs.
The role involves supporting children throughout the school day, either within a classroom setting or on a 1:1 basis, depending on their individual needs. This includes helping pupils access learning, develop their communication, confidence and independence, and engage positively in both learning and school life.
The school provides a caring and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on enabling every child, irrespective of their individual needs, to develop to their full potential.
Experienced Teaching Assistants, as well as candidates looking to develop their career within SEND education, are always welcome to apply.
Role Details:
*Supporting children aged 4-11 years
*Working with pupils with a range of learning, communication and physical needs
*Providing classroom, small-group and 1:1 support
*Helping children access learning and develop their confidence and independence
*Working alongside teaching staff and the wider school team
*Working within a caring and nurturing specialist SEND environment
Role Requirements:
*A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
*Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with children
*Patient, caring and nurturing approach
*Confidence supporting children with a range of individual needs
*Previous experience within SEND, education, care or support work is advantageous but not essential

*Hours: Full-time (30 hours per week)
*Rate of Pay: From £93.60 per day
Experience and Training:
*Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential
*Experience within a school, SEND, care or support setting would be beneficial
*Experience supporting children with learning, communication or physical needs is desirable
*Supporting children with SEND and helping them develop their independence and confidence
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year is desirable, however training can be provided
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online Update Service or be willing to process a new application
*Provide satisfactory referencing
