Juice Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an innovative manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a Sewing Machinist / Seamstress to join their specialist production team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sewing professional seeking flexible working hours, with an initial commitment of 2-3 days per week on a half-day basis, offering the potential to increase hours as the business grows. The position can be offered on either a temporary or permanent basis, making it ideal for candidates looking for flexibility alongside rewarding and meaningful work.
The Role
Working within a clean manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality textile components to exact specifications. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and pride in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
*Producing textile components in line with production requirements.
*Cutting fabric materials from rolls and panels with a high degree of precision.
*Pinning, tacking and machine hemming fabric sections to exact dimensions.
*Operating sewing machinery to create specialist tubular textile products.
*Threading and monitoring sewing equipment and reporting any maintenance requirements.
*Managing textile stock within the production area.
*Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
*Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
*Following all quality and hygiene procedures within a clean manufacturing environment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has previous experience as a Sewing Machinist, Seamstress, Seamster or within a textile manufacturing environment.
*Demonstrates excellent sewing and fabric-handling skills.
*Has a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
*Is reliable, conscientious and able to work independently.
*Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
*Possesses strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
