FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established food distribution and logistics business with the recruitment of a Transport Supervisor.
Permanent, full-time position based in Totton, Southampton.
Salary
Negotiable depending on experience + additional benefits & progression
Key Responsibilities
*Support the Transport Manager with the day-to-day running of transport operations
*Assist with route planning and daily delivery schedules
*Support driver management, training and development
*Monitor drivers’ hours, working time and transport compliance
*Help forecast transport requirements and vehicle availability
*Support fleet maintenance and ensure vehicles remain operational
*Resolve day-to-day transport issues and delivery challenges
*Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
*Help ensure a safe, efficient and compliant transport operation
*Work closely with warehouse and operational teams
Requirements
*Previous experience within transport supervision, transport operations or a similar role
*Experience working with tachographs required
*Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours, Working Time Directive and transport legislation
*Valid CPC required
*Strong people-management and communication skills
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment
*Good organisation and problem-solving ability
*Flexible approach to working hours and early starts
*Full UK driving licence, minimum Category C1, required
