A growing manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Import/Export Shipping Coordinator to manage the smooth and efficient movement of goods to and from international customers and suppliers. Key responsibilities:
*Coordinate import and export shipments by road, sea, air and courier.
*Prepare and check shipping, customs and export documentation.
*Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, suppliers and customers.
*Arrange collections, deliveries, packing, labelling and associated shipping requirements.
*Monitor shipments, resolve delays and keep stakeholders updated.
*Maintain accurate shipment records, freight costs and delivery information.
*Review freight invoices and support cost reconciliation.
*Ensure shipments comply with relevant customs and international shipping requirements.
Required experience:
*Experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, and customs
*Recent experience in import/export co-ordination and documentation
*Good understanding of shipping documentation, customs processes and Incoterms.
*Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
*Confident communicating with external suppliers, freight partners and internal teams.
*Good Microsoft Office and ERP/system skills.
*Manufacturing industry experience would be advantageous.
*Knowledge of customs classification, rules of origin or export controls would be a bonus, but is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business and take ownership of a varied international shipping function, with scope to develop your knowledge and responsibilities as the business grows.
