The role:
*Take ownership of the month-end close and associated journals
*Prepare and manage weekly and monthly profit and loss statements
*Manage the sales ledger, invoice queries and credit control
*Oversee inventory reconciliations and review stock-count results
*Analyse financial performance and recommend process improvements
*Manage two members of finance team, conduct regular reviews and training
*Partner with operational teams to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies
*Support strategic financial planning and wider business-improvement projects
About you:
*Experienced in Management Accountant, Finance Manager
*Ideally studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
*Previous experience of managing a team
*Commercially aware, analytical and confident working with operational teams
*Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
*Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines
*Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE and tax compliance
