Full job descriptionWe are looking for a reliable, motivated and hands-on Production Operative to support the smooth and efficient running of a busy production line.
Working closely with the Team Leader and Senior Team Leader, you will assist with day-to-day production activities, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently and in line with the required quality, hygiene and safety standards.
This role would suit someone with food production experience who takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail and is willing to take on additional responsibilities when required.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist the Team Leader and Senior Team Leader with the efficient running of the production line.
*Support line set-ups and changeovers to ensure production runs smoothly and downtime is minimised.
*Complete RZ checks, process checks and all required production paperwork accurately.
*Carry out line cleaning and hygiene activities in accordance with company procedures.
*Ensure products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
*Monitor production processes and report any quality concerns or issues to the relevant team leader.
*Follow company quality policies, procedures and objectives at all times.
*Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and housekeeping within the production area.
*Support the team during busy periods and help ensure production targets are achieved.
*Provide cover for the Team Leader when required, helping to maintain the effective operation of the production line.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
*Have experience working within a production or manufacturing environment.
*Have a good understanding of production line operations, set-ups and changeovers.
*Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, hygiene and workplace standards.
*Be confident completing routine checks and production paperwork accurately.
*Have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*Be organised, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
*Show initiative and be willing to take on additional responsibilities when required.
*Have a flexible approach and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.
