REED Education are proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" secondary school in Bishop’s Stortford to recruit a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher for a full-time position commencing after the October half-term break.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious school community with a strong reputation for academic excellence, student wellbeing, and high-quality teaching. The successful candidate will initially join on a temporary basis, with the school looking to offer a permanent contract from January 2027.
The Role
*Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
*Inspire students to develop their understanding of different beliefs, cultures, ethics, and worldviews
*Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum
*Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and department
*Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate
*Experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for education
*Excellent classroom management skills
*Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities
*Open to both QTS-qualified and non-QTS teachers with relevant teaching experience
*ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
