Our client, a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and managing a varied commercial portfolio.
Working alongside Account Executives and insurers, you will play a key role in ensuring clients receive expert support and tailored insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients across a range of industries.
*Act as the primary point of contact for client queries, policy amendments, and renewals.
*Prepare and process new business quotations, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
*Liaise effectively with insurers to negotiate competitive terms and secure appropriate cover.
*Review client insurance requirements and identify opportunities to enhance coverage.
*Produce accurate policy documentation and ensure all administration is completed within agreed timescales.
*Handle claims notifications and provide support throughout the claims process.
*Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
*Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
*Support Account Executives with client reviews, presentations, and retention strategies.
*Monitor renewal pipelines and proactively engage with clients ahead of renewal dates.
*Ensure service standards and key performance indicators are consistently achieved.
About You
*Previous experience within a Commercial Account Handler, Commercial Insurance Advisor, or similar insurance role.
*Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including property, liability, motor fleet, and combined policies.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Confident working with insurance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
*Cert CII qualification or a willingness to work towards professional qualifications would be advantageous.
