The Opportunity
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join its Sheffield team on an initial 12-month contract.
You will lead external communications and marketing campaigns to strengthen brand awareness, support business growth and enhance stakeholder engagement within the Weapon Systems UK business unit.
Key Responsibilities
*Develop and deliver strategic marketing and external communications campaigns.
*Manage media relations, press releases and executive communications.
*Lead digital and social media content, advertising, exhibitions and events.
*Build relationships with external stakeholders, media and industry partners.
*Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
*Ensure communications meet corporate brand guidelines and messaging.
*Provide strategic advice and coordinate communications across teams.
*Support crisis communications, change management and reputation management.
Essential Skills and Experience
*Proven experience in marketing, communications or external affairs.
*Strong content creation and campaign management skills.
*Experience managing media relations and stakeholder engagement.
*Excellent written communication, organisation and project management skills.
*Ability to influence stakeholders and work independently.
*Experience measuring campaign performance and delivering results.
*Degree, equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline.
Desirable: Defence or engineering sector experience.
