Shift: Days - 07:30am to 4:00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm

Press Brake Operator - Manchester
We are currently recruiting for experienced Press Brake Operators to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business based in Stretford, Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operators seeking long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
We are looking for candidates who can confidently program, set, and operate press brake machinery and who have a strong background working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Program, set up, and operate press brake machinery to produce components to specification.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
*Adjust machine settings to achieve accurate bends and maintain quality standards.
*Carry out first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks throughout production.
*Ensure all products meet required tolerances and customer specifications.
*Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping duties.
*Identify and report any machine faults or production issues.
*Work safely in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
*Collaborate with production teams to meet manufacturing targets and deadlines.
Essential Requirements
*Proven experience programming, setting, and operating Press Brake machines.
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
*Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
Desirable Skills
*Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*Knowledge of CNC-controlled press brake machinery.
*Familiarity with quality inspection tools and measuring equipment.
Working Hours
*Monday to Friday
*Day Shift: 07:30am - 4:00pm
Interview Process
Successful candidates will be invited to attend a competency-based interview, where previous programming, setting, and operating experience will be assessed.
