Job Description:
Full job descriptionBurton Recruitment has been retained on behalf of this well-established, fast-scaling business.
Approaching 40 employees and growing, they’ve reached the point where they need a dedicated people professional to own the HR function and actively drive culture as the business scales.
Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll take ownership of the full people function as a standalone hire. Day-to-day HR, employee relations, and people ops on one side, with culture, engagement, recognition, and making this a genuinely great place to work on the other.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Owning day-to-day HR matters: contracts, policies, grievances, disciplinaries, and employee concerns
*Supporting managers and department heads with difficult conversations, performance management, and development
*Taking ownership of employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives
*Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and probation reviews
*Helping coordinate appraisals and performance review processes
*Bringing fresh ideas around culture and experience to the table
The ideal candidate:
*Solid HR generalist background with confident employment law knowledge
*Experience in a growing, fast-moving business
*Personality that matches the brief: energetic, approachable, commercially minded, and practical
*Someone hands-on enough to build the function rather than inherit a finished one
*CIPD qualified
In return the company offers an exceptional working environment with great people, plenty of socials, monthly bonuses and more.
