Full job descriptionTotal Assist is currently recruiting for a Locum Speech and Language Therapist to support a specialist private healthcare service in Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment and intervention to support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
The position offers 2 days per week, with an anticipated minimum commitment of 12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities*Assess and manage patients with speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties.
*Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions and clinical recommendations.
*Complete clinical assessments, reports and patient documentation.
*Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.
*Contribute to individualised care planning and ongoing reviews.
Requirements*Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
*Current HCPC registration.
*Previous clinical experience within a relevant healthcare setting.
*Dysphagia training and experience would be highly desirable.
*Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
