We’re exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing, privately owned business seeking a commercially minded Finance professional to join one of its highest-performing divisions. With turnover approaching c.£20m and growing quickly, this is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside an entrepreneurial Managing Director, influencing strategic decisions & helping shape the future direction of the business. The role reports directly to the MD & offers exceptional exposure to senior leadership & clear progression opportunities as the division continues to scale.

This is far more than a traditional reporting role. You’ll take ownership of the finance function, act as a trusted business partner to the leadership team & have a significant voice in commercial decision-making, operational improvement, growth initiatives & strategic planning. The successful candidate will also take ownership of FCA compliance & governance within the business, making prior experience within an FCA-regulated environment essential.

Responsibilities
-Leading the finance function & owning monthly management accounts, forecasting and budgeting
-Driving commercial insight & supporting strategic decision-making
-Cashflow management & working capital optimisation
-Developing robust financial controls, processes & reporting
-Partnering closely with the Managing Director to support continued growth
-Taking ownership of FCA compliance, governance & regulatory reporting
-Leading, mentoring & developing the finance team
-Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting & efficiency across the business

About You
We’re looking for someone with the capability & ambition to grow alongside the business.

You’ll likely be:
-An existing Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Finance Business Partner ready for a bigger challenge
-ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
-Experienced within an FCA-regulated environment
-Commercially astute with strong technical accounting skills
-Confident challenging, influencing & partnering with senior stakeholders
-Hands-on, driven & motivated by growth & progression
