Teacher Active is looking to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor for an immediate start.
This is a fantastic potential temp-to-perm opportunity. The successful candidate will initially work on a temporary basis, with the view of securing a permanent position within the school for the right fit.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in maintaining continuity in students’ learning when their usual teacher is absent.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials.
*Maintaining a positive, productive and inclusive learning environment.
*Managing classroom behaviour confidently and effectively.
*Keeping students engaged, focused and on task throughout lessons.
*Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
*Providing feedback and a brief handover to teaching staff at the end of each lesson.
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
*Have a confident, professional and positive classroom presence.
*Can manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with young people.
*Have at least two months’ UK-based experience working with young people (e.g., schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring etc).
*Are reliable, adaptable and comfortable working across different subjects and year groups.
*Have strong communication and organisational skills.
*Are passionate about supporting young people’s education and development.
