My client is a leading trade-only supplier in the print and packaging sector. This well-established business offers paper-based materials, printing, and conversion services. With multiple purpose-built sites and extensive warehousing and distribution capabilities, they deliver fast, reliable, and high-quality solutions to meet the needs of a diverse and dynamic market.
Purpose of the Job
We’re looking for a Sales Order Process Assistant to join a busy team within an established manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous office administration experience, ideally within manufacturing, sales administration or order processing, who wants to build their skills and develop their career.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, materials are ordered on time and internal departments have everything they need to keep projects moving smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
*Processing and acknowledging customer purchase orders, ensuring all details are accurate and up to date.
*Entering new and repeat products onto the company’s management information system (MIS).
*Raising supplier purchase orders and liaising with suppliers to resolve queries.
*Communicating with customers professionally via email and telephone.
*Working closely with production, planning and logistics teams to coordinate upcoming orders and projects.
*Preparing production paperwork and ensuring the relevant teams have the information they need.
*Supporting general office administration, answering calls and assisting with wider team projects as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
We’re keen to hear from candidates who are organised, proactive and take pride in producing accurate work. You’ll ideally have:
*Previous office administration experience, ideally within manufacturing, sales administration or order processing.
*Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
*Good numerical skills and confidence working with figures.
*The ability to manage competing priorities and stay focused in a busy environment.
*Good communication skills and a confident, professional telephone manner.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
*A positive, team-focused attitude and a willingness to learn.
What’s in it for you?
This isn’t simply a role where you’ll be processing paperwork day in, day out. The company has an in-house training programme designed to help you develop your knowledge and capabilities, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as your experience grows.
Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to work with higher-profile customer accounts and gain exposure to project coordination, giving you the chance to build a broader skill set and establish yourself as a valued member of the team.
The package:
*Salary of £28,000 per annum.
*Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
*40-hour working week, with a 30-minute lunch break.
*Office-based position, five days per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team within a forward-thinking service organisation. You will work in a collaborative environment where your contribution directly supports the delivery of essential services to clients across a variety of sectors.
