I’m recruiting for an experienced Lead Data Architect to support a major technology programme within the financial services sector.
This is a hands-on architecture role requiring strong experience across NoSQL databases, data modelling and distributed data environments.
You’ll play a key role in shaping data architecture, designing scalable solutions and working closely with technical teams.
The Role*Lead the design and development of data architecture solutions
*Work with NoSQL technologies, particularly Cassandra
*Develop complex data models
*Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
*Support scalable, distributed data environments
*Provide architectural direction while remaining technically hands-on
Skills & Experience*Strong Data Architecture background, ideally at Lead or Principal level
*Cassandra / NoSQL – essential
*Strong hands-on data modelling skills
*Banking or Financial Services experience
*Domain-Driven Design experience
*Understanding of distributed database architectures
Desirable*CQRS
*Yugabyte or Google Spanner
*Fintech experience
Contract Details*Rate: £750 per day to contractor
*IR35: Likely Inside IR35, subject to confirmation
*Location: London – 3 days per week onsite
*Interview: 2 stages
*Start: ASAP
