Our client is a well established accountancy practice firm in Worthing. They are eager to hire a Trainee to join their growing team.
Description
*Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
*Supporting audit assignments both on-site and remotely for a varied client portfolio.
*Performing audit testing and substantive procedures under the supervision of senior team members.
*Preparing working papers and ensuring files are completed accurately and on time.
*Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
*Supporting the production of management accounts and financial reports.
*Processing bookkeeping records and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
*Preparing corporation tax and self-assessment tax computations.
*Liaising with clients to obtain financial information and resolve queries.
*Using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CCH.
*Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
*Participating in professional training and working towards a recognised accounting qualification.
Profile
A successful ’Trainee Accountant’ should have:


*An interest in building practical accounting and finance knowledge.
*Strong academics at GCSE or A-Level.
*Eagerness to study for AAT qualification.
*Good communication skills.
*Strong IT ability.
