Job Description:
This is a Temporary long term assignment to cover for a period of  Maternity Leave for 9 months to start as soon as possible. 
We are looking for an experienced Office Manager for a small nursery and children’s centre. You will be reporting to the School Business Manager and the Executive Headteacher
JOB SUMMARY

The Office Manager will administrative functions in order to assist in the smooth running of the school and to maintain accurate accounts and systems of financial control as regards delegated financial duties.
As the Office Manager you will also be responsible for all aspects of the nursery school admission procedures. As part of your duties, you are expected to work in conjunction with the School Business manager, Executive Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher (Teaching and Learning) and Deputy Head (Under 3’s).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. To be responsible for assisting in managing the school office.

2. To deputise for the Federation School Business Manager in his/her absence.

3. To be responsible for the maintenance of various school computerised databases of pupil and staff information.

4. To be responsible for the school admissions procedures.

5. To provide administrative support to the Nursery and Centre staff as appropriate.

6. To be responsible for Financial Administration including responsibly for petty cash and school fund.

7. To support with the collection and monitoring of school fees.

8. To be a personal assistant to the Executive Headteacher.
Main duties and responsibilities are listed below.  Other duties of an appropriate level and nature will also be required.
Responsibility for assisting in managing the school office, including:
• Flexible working to ensure the nursery reception is covered at all times.

• Co-ordinating and supervising the work of the receptionists to ensure the school office is organised efficiently.

• Liaising with the Federation School Business Manager relating to work to be undertaken by the office

• Assisting with monitoring the induction of any new member of the office staff.

• Deputising for the School Business manager in relation to the above duties, in her/his absence

• To manage the admissions process for the 0-5 provision.

• General word processing.

• Provide administrative support in organising safety procedures, including fire drills.

• To cover Reception as required.
