Company profileGlasgow Maritime Academy was founded in 2013 by experienced Master Mariners to raise the standard of professional maritime training. Today we’re one of Europe’s leading maritime training providers, supporting the commercial, yachting, passenger ship and port sectors in the UK and internationally, with delivery across more than 46 countries.We combine strong teaching with modern training infrastructure. Our facilities include smart classrooms, bridge simulation, tanker simulation, high-voltage simulation, and a fully equipped engine room workshop. Training is delivered by a highly experienced faculty including former MCA surveyors, Master Mariners, PhD-qualified specialists, ex-marine pilots, harbour masters, and maritime lawyers.Over the past few years we’ve moved hard into technology-led learning. Alongside our classroom and simulator programmes, we now develop and deliver AI-powered courses, interactive digital learning, and immersive training experiences. This includes Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) and remote operator training, VR-supported yacht aesthetic and hospitality training, and computer-based specialist programmes such as our mixology courses. We also design modern assessments and interactive quiz-based learning for clients, helping companies improve competence and compliance with measurable outcomes.Our course portfolio covers MCA orals preparation, STCW short courses, ECDIS, HELM, tanker training, high voltage, ISM/ISPS auditing, passenger ship training, medical and security courses, and an expanding range of yacht industry programmes including IAMI GUEST-approved training.Glasgow Maritime Academy is part of a wider maritime group with active operational links to the industry, including vessel management and yachting services.
