OVERVIEW - PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK
Due to the recent implementation of a new system (COINS), this large construction company (main contractor) requires a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team on a permanent basis. To be considered for this role your CV must demonstrate previous Purchase Ledger experience and it’s essential that you have used COINS.
JOB DESCRIPTION - PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK
* End-to-end management of the Purchase ledger
* Posting purchase invoices onto COINS
* Matching and correctly coding invoices
* Setting up weekly and monthly payment runs
* Obtaining invoice approvals from various departmental heads
* Responding to invoice and payment queries from suppliers and subcontractors
* Verifying subcontractors with HMRC and requesting up-to-date insurance information
* Entering subcontractor certificates on to COINS
* Preparing and submitting monthly CIS return
* Working within and supporting the Financial Controller
* Communicating regularly with the Commercial team to resolve any subcontractor related matters and additional departmental workload
PERSON SPECIFICATION - PURCHASE LEDGER CLERK
* Recent Purchase Ledger experience
* Recent use of COINS ERP is essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Methodical and able to prioritise work under pressure
* The ability and tenacity to work in a fast-paced environment
* Able to attend the office 5 days a week
