Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a small finance team at a growing business near Okehampton, to start as soon as possible, initially on a 6-month contract.


Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting duties.


*Supporting monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
*Balance sheet reconciliations and income reconciliations.
*Investigating and resolving accounts discrepancies.
*Posting accounting journals and maintaining supporting schedules
*Assisting with management of cashflow.
*Assisting with budget/forecast analysis and sales analysis.
*Supporting year end accounts preparation.
*Project work including systems and process improvements.
*Supporting with group reporting requirements.


Salary: £32,000 - £35,000pa
Location: On site role
Hours: Full time, Mon - Fri, 8:30am – 5pm, some flexibility on start and finish.
Start Date: Immediate start available.
Contract: 6 months initially, with a view for the role to become permanent for the right person.


Assistant Accountant - The Person:
*The successful candidate will have a proactive, friendly personality and enjoy being in a busy, varied role.
*Recent accounts experience including month end duties, eg journals, accruals and prepayments, management accounts experience is advantageous.
*You will need to be organised and able to work using your own initiative.
*A desire to learn and grow your accounts knowledge and skills.
*IT skills including Excel (formulas, look ups etc), knowledge of Sage 200 is a bonus.
